CARTER BROWN - HE STARTED IT, IT'S ALL HIS FAULT...

Carter Brown was born to a theatrical family; his father was a set designer and stage manager, his mother an actress and dancer in New York City. Carter started performing in New York at the age of eight, juggling his way through a hectic schedule of gymnastics, dance, mime, drama and anything else his parents could think of to keep one hyper-active child out of their hair. As a theatre and art major at the University of Vermont, Carter directed "The Silent Company" mime troupe, hiked the Appalachian trail, and won acceptance to the Ringling Bros. Clown College in Sarasota, FL. After a two-year stint with the Ringling Bros. Circus, he joined Carden International Circus as a soloist for four years, simultaneously designing sound, lights and choreography. His bicycle-rim juggling act has won renown in South America, Europe, Canada, Japan, and the Monte Carlo Festival du Cirque. He continues to tour incessantly; it might be said that only his hoops have rolled more miles than he has. Carter founded Lazer Vaudeville in 1987; his latest invention is the iced-coffee cube.

CINDY MARVELL - JUST >%@^+#* AMAZING !

Cindy Marvell began making her mark on New York ceilings at age twelve. As a teenager, she studied at the Antic Arts Academy at SUNY Purchase, practicing her way to her professional debut at the Carnegie Hall Serenades Festival. After graduating from Oberlin College in 1988, she became the first woman ever to win the International Juggling Association's Championship. Her work has taken her to Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, and ex-Soviet Georgia. After touring the western half of the U.S. with San Francisco's Pickle Family Circus, she returned to New York to study dance at the Limon Institute and the Isadora Duncan Foundation. Her performances in that region include "Bouncing Back" at Dance Theater Workshop, "Ladyfingers" at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Young People's Concerts at Avery Fisher Hall, P.B.S. specials for "Sesame Street" and Elizabeth Swados, and the N.Y. Renaissance Festival. She has also taught at the Big Apple Circus School. Now in her sixth year with Lazer Vaudeville, she has graduated from Sleepytime herbal tea to Java Jolt, so look out!

NICK FLAIR OF LAZER VAUDEVILLE

Nicholas Flair performs his amazing shadow and box manipulations, as recently seen in Circus Starlight in Switzerland!

NICHOLAS FLAIR

Nicholas Flair got hooked on juggling as a high school student in Ithaca, NY. Later, as a student at Brown University, he founded the Out of Hand Juggling Club, studied dance, and joined Misnomer Dance Theater, with whom he still performs as a guest artist. After receiving a B. A. in mathematics, he defied the laws of probability by pursuing graduate work at Montreal’s Ecole Nationale de Cirque. There he created his signature cigar box routine while training in juggling, acrobatics, dance, clown and trampoline for three years. He has performed in productions with the Metropolitan Opera, New York Theater Ballet, and with variety theater shows in Madison Square Garden and Times Square. Collaborations have taken him to the International Jazz Festival of Montreal and the Summer Festival of Quebec. His solo act has taken to the waves with Holland America cruise lines and hit the airwaves on FOX TV’s 30 Seconds to Fame. Flair recently completed a seven-month tour of Switzerland with Circus Starlight. Nicholas thrives on hot chocolate and percolates with joy at the drop of a hat .
